My Story

I am a Rehabilitation Counsellor and mental health specialist, employed in both the private sector and Part time in my own practice “Mindful Building Solutions” currently operating from Soul spectrum.

With a background of more than a decade working in the private sector which is very driven and KPI orientated, I have gained expertise in working with different insurance models, successfully working with clients of all different backgrounds, including front line workers, DVA, critically injured, permanently disabled, employment services, and others who require counselling.

A Rehabilitation Counsellors (with your consent) can work with all your other health practitioners, and we do this as part of the process in rehabilitation management for insurance companies to be unified for the client. We can also work as an advocate when seeking more clarity from the other health practitioners , we can attend appointments with you and hold medical case conferences and offer recommendations, and write progress reports. We can always liaise with schools and training organisations to make sure that all of the biopsychosocial goals are being met, and liaise with employers regarding return-to-work plans for psychological and injuries.

Self-Managed NDIS recipients are welcome. I am able to provide services under Therapeutic supports No: 0128, to assist participants to apply their functional skills to improve participation and independence in daily living, and can provide clinical assessment, and perform specialised psychosocial interventions, for clients assessed as having multi-faceted and complex high-level care or therapy needs requiring NDIS services.
